The 2024 Cube Series camper is a pop-up hard-side, non-slide truck camper made for mid-size and bigger trucks. Like the product itself, this interview defies expectations.Ībove: The 2024 Cube Series floor plan 2024 Cube Series Specifications To learn about the backstory of Cube Series and get further into the details surrounding its innovative new camper, we talked to Rick Wise, President, and Randall Pozzi, General Manager of Cube Series. Form followed function.Ībove: The Cube Series features a face-to-face dinetteĪbove: The Cube Series dinette makes into a bedĪbove: The rear half showcases the fully-featured kitchen and a hidden cassette toilet The Cube Series had to be exactly the product that it is to (a) work within the size and payload limitations of mid-size trucks, and (b) answer the product vision of the Cube Series team. Everything else they attempted was a compromise. Why are the Cube Series tub, roof, and side walls resin-infused fiberglass? Why is the Cube Series an 88-inch caboverless cube? Why does the Cube Series feature a technology-packed aluminum basement? It’s all about that mission. In fact, every aspect of the Cube Series design and build is the direct result of this objective.Ībove: In travel mode, the Cube Series can often fit in a standard garage The big take away is this everything about the Cube Series design and build is the direct result of a focused vision to produce the highest quality, lightest weight, and most capable hard side pop-up truck camper possible for mid-size trucks. In July, we had the opportunity to visit the Cube Series factory, meet the leadership and production team and go deep with the company and product. Square that away for a moment.Ībove: A Cube Series in camping mode on a Toyota Tacoma mid-size truck We also didn’t yet appreciate the full magnitude of the Cube Series concept itself. The camper design was unique and impressive, but the majority of what makes this product stand out was literally infused into the molded fiberglass structure and beneath our feet. None of the above was apparent when we first made contact with Cube Series truck campers at Princess Craft RV this past May. And the manufacturing techniques and equipment at Cube Series leave most manufacturers – regardless of industry or product category – in the dust. The aluminum basement features a density of cutting-edge technology rarely seen in the most advanced RVs. The resin-infused molded fiberglass tub, roof, and side walls challenge the strength-to-weight ratio and finished quality of any motorhome, towable, or camper on the market today. With a vacuum-bonded fiberglass structure, aluminum cabinetry, and a state-of-the-art basement, Cube Series challenges the concept of what a pop-up truck camper can be.Įverything about Cube Series defies expectations. From Redmond, Oregon comes Cube Series, a revolutionary hard side pop-up truck camper for mid-size and full-size trucks.

For that reason, we recommend keeping the HEIC format and transferring to a Mac so you can use a standalone application for the transfers. Also, since the photos on your Mac will be in JPG, you won't have the original HEIC files if you delete them on your iPhone. However, the HEIC images will still be retained on your device, which means you have to keep cleaning them up periodically to optimize device memory. This method is a "set it and forget" it approach to HEIC to JPG conversions on iPhone devices. As long as you are signed in to iCloud and connected to the Internet, your device will remember the settings and automatically convert and download all recent HEIC images to JPG. The conversion will be to a compatible format like JPG so you don't have to worry about it as long as you have iCloud Photos also installed on your PC. If you only have a Windows PC, that's fine. On your iPhone, go to Settings → Photos and tap on Automatic under Transfer to Mac or PC. Once they're on your Mac, you can freely share them with anyone via email or upload it to a connected cloud storage service like Dropbox, Google Drive, and so on. Once you set this up, every time you take a new photo, your HEIC to JPG iPhone conversion will be done, and the image will be downloaded to your Mac. The first method involves transferring them to a Mac computer using an automatic transfer setting that will change them into a compatible format during the transfer. Method 1: How to Convert iPhone HEIC to JPG (Transfer them to Mac) In this article, we will learn three ways to change iPhone photo format from HEIC to JPG using different methods. However, if you convert HEIC to JPG on iPhone before sharing, they can be viewed normally. Older versions of these operating systems do not natively support the HEIC image format so they'll need additional third-party tools to view these images. An iPhone HEIC to JPG conversion is usually required prior to sharing photos with users of non-iOS devices such as Android smartphones or Windows desktops. They are large, somewhat intractable animals, bigger than horse and difficult to manipulate, and ART has never been completely successful in this species 1. Using this technology, the NWR faces some unique challenges there are only two surviving NWRs and both are infertile. The rhinoceros and horse share a common ancestor 6, therefore, assisted reproduction techniques (ART) developed in equines 7, 8 can potentially be translated to rhinoceros species, including the Southern White Rhinoceros (SWR, Ceratotherium simum simum), a closely related sub-species now not at risk of extinction 9. A holistic strategy combining all three steps would help to maximize genetic diversity in the NWR by providing cryo-banked spermatozoa and somatic cells of several NWR individuals 5. ES cells are the best source for producing primordial germ cells and also represent the “gold standard” for assessing artificial gametes derived from induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) 4. Beyond applying this classical ART approach, it would be critical to generate artificial gametes. Our results suggest that ART might offer an option for rescuing genes from the NWR, an essential first step in saving this nearly extinct rhinoceros sub-species. There has been no report of the production of rhinoceros embryo from fertilization to the pre-implantation stage 2, 3. To date only one study related to ovum pick up and embryos production in rhinoceros has been reported 1. Since 2007, there has been a sharp increase in poaching activity and illegal trade of rhino horns, to the extent that many subspecies of rhinos have been declared extinct and the entire rhino population is listed as ‘endangered’.Conventional approaches toward establishing a self-sustaining NWR population over the last two decades have been repeatedly unsuccessful. Rhino horns are also integral to traditional medicine in many parts of Asia, with people believing it has mystical powers. Hunting, and now, poaching and habitat loss, have drastically reduced the number of rhinos across the world. Unfortunately, these once-abundant creatures have lost out to human activity. So popular is this tale that it even featured in a popular 1980 South-African movie named “The Gods Must Be Crazy.” According to these stories, rhinos appeared every time a fire was lit in the forest and would stamp out the flames. Rhinos have also featured in many Asian and African legends - they are the fire-stamping heroes in many stories from Burma, India, and Malaysia. However, the American rhinos went extinct sometime between 5.4 and 2.4 million years ago. Over time, these rhino ancestors roamed the continents, primarily living in Eurasia (Europe and Asia combined) and North America. These rhinos only lived in Asia initially but began traveling to other places around 25 million years ago. These plant-eaters lived alongside the wooly mammoths, and have been found fossilized in ice and in cave paintings made during that period. This species inhabited a large area, from Siberia to the British Isles. Of these, the wooly rhinoceros was one of the largest subspecies, weighing in at almost four times the size of the average African elephant, and boasting one-meter-long horns. The last, most direct ancestors to the modern rhinoceros appeared approximately 25 million years ago and had multiple sub-species in their families. One of these was called the ‘running rhino,’ which was adapted for speed.Īnother was more aquatic and resembled today’s hippopotamus. Over these years, there were three distinct species that scientists think might be the ancestors of today’s rhinos. Old rhino bones found from this period in North America show a gradual evolution from this old horse-like structure into one more aligned with today’s rhino. They were more horse-like in structure and had no horns. That’s when the first ancestors of the modern Rhinos roamed the planet. To trace the origins of the Rhinoceros, we’d have to go back some millennia - almost 56 million years ago, to be precise. There are obviously some things that changed between the officially published material, and debating those is fair game, but this isn't the place for folks to argue over the virtues of one edition over the other. I think the Patron simply teaches the warlock how to tap powers, etc, versus granting powers.Welcome to the subreddit for the Eberron Campaign Setting! Rules It was still the Sith's abilities to tap the powers which defined how strong they might be, even more powerful than the Dark Lord himself. In Star Wars, the Sith were trained by the Dark Lord of the Sith on how to increase their power. It's power over the Warlock only lies in further and further secrets. It's always been my understanding that once the power is given/taught, the Patron can no longer withhold it from the Warlock. ".while poring over tomes of forbidden lore." Again with the idea of studying eldritch secrets. "Warlocks are driven by an insatiable need for knowledge and power" ".warlocks piece together arcane secrets to bolster their own power." Again referencing the Warlock's own power being enhanced by universal secrets "Warlocks are seekers of the knowledge that lies hidden." Doesn't seem like the warlock is being gifted the power so much as taught the methods on how to wield it. ". young elf in golden robes smiles warmly, weaving a magical charm into his honeyed words and bending the palace sentinel to his will"- Not Patron's will- Warlock's will Consider the following flavor text from Warlock Class: But I don't get the vibe that a Warlock simply asks the patron to hand over powers without extensive effort by the Warlock to learn. Instead of learning via books, the warlock seems to learn by doing. The Patron to me has always been more of a mentor with ulterior motives and the Warlock an apprentice leveraging the Patron's knowledge to unlock eldritch power from the universe itself rather than the Patron directly. I've never understood this interpretation of Warlock's powers. The warlock would have to make a new pact to regain his magic. The identity of the warlock's powers seems directly linked to the patron's nature, hence the different features for each patron. On the contrary, should a Warlock's patron die, the pact would be over along with the granted powers. In the Forgotten Realms, your patron might be Azuth or Oghma.Ĭan gods be considered to be patrons for warlocks? Even though it states they cannot but there are contradictions to this rule. In the Realms, Undying patrons include Larloch the Shadow King, legendary master of Warlock's Crypt, and Gilgeam, the God-King of Unther Moander is a dark power of corruption and decay. Tharizdun, The Chained God is considered an intermediate deity The beings that serve as patrons for warlocks are mighty inhabitants of other planes of existence- not gods, but almost godlike in their power.įiends powerful enough to forge a pact include demon lords such as Demogorgon, Orcus, Fraz'Urb-luu, and Baphomet archdevils such as Asmodeus, Dispater, Mephistopheles, and Belial pit fiends and balors that are especially mighty and ultroloths and other lords of the yugoloths.Įntities of this type include Ghaunadar, called That Which Lurks Tharizdun, the Chained God Dendar, the Night Serpent Zargon, the Returner Great Cthulhu and other unfathomable beings.ĭemogorgon, Baphomet, Orcus are considered lesser deities Sometimes the relationship between warlock and patron is like that of a cleric and a deity, though the beings that serve as patrons for warlocks are not gods, A warlock might lead a cult dedicated to a demon prince, an archdevil, or an utterly alien entity-beings not typically served by clerics. There seems to be some contradictions in what can and cannot be a warlocks patron. Monstrous Compendium Vol 3: Minecraft Creatures |
